This adventure- packed tour takes riders along some of Bhutan’s most thrilling and scenic roads. The journey starts with a morning flight to Bagdogra airport from Delhi, followed by a drive to the Indo-Bhutan border. From there, riders will embark on a captivating journey through Bhutan, with one of the main highlights being a visit to the world-famous Taktshang Monastery, also known as Tiger’s Nest. This iconic Buddhist temple is perched on a cliffside, offering breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere. Participants will also have the chance to experience a traditional hot stone bath at a remote farmhouse, providing a unique insight into local customs and relaxation practices. Day 01: Bagdogra – Phuntsholing, Bhutan (109m, 170km, 4-5hrs)
Board an early morning flight into Bagdogra airport, from where you’ll be driven to Phuntsholing, Bhutan. It takes about approximately 4-5 hours’ drive from the airport. On the way, we will stop for hot lunch. After lunch, drive continuously to Phuntsholing, Bhutan for an overnight stay. The Phuntsholing town also serve as one of the main business hub for many Bhutanese and Indian shopkeepers . Once you step into Bhutan, you will be fascinated with the Bhutanese unique architecture. Complete immigration formalities and check into the hotel. Evening at leisure or take familiarization ride around Phuntsholing town. Dinner and overnight stay at Phuntsholing.
Day 02: Phuntsholing – Paro Ride (2,300m, 148km, 5hrs)
After breakfast, begin first day ride to Paro valley along the Bhutanese road. Today’s ride will pass through the beautiful Gedu University, Rinchending Monastery and some scattered villages. Lunch will be at Paro town. After lunch we will visit to Kichu Temple, Ta Dzong and Paro town. Evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at Paro.
Day 03: Paro – Thimphu Ride(2,320m, 65km, 1.5hrs) Chele La (pass at 3,988m)
Early morning hike to world famous Buddhist Temple called Taktshang or Tiger’s Nest. It is expected to take about 2-3 hour hike on uphill trail and 60-90 while coming to the base. Those who wished to skip Tiger’s Nest hike can take a short day ride to Chele La Pass (37km) which is 1 ½ hour ride from Paro town. Afernoon, ride further to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. On the way, stop to visit Buddha Statue, the world tallest Buddha Statue measuring 51.5m tall overlooking whole Thimphu valley. Evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at Thimphu.
Day 04: Thimphu – Phobjikha Ride via Punakha valley(3,000m, 135 Km / 4-5 Hours)
Today we will start early for Phobjikha valley crossing the Dochu La (pass at 3140m). Take a short stop at the Dochu La Pass(108 stupas) Later descend down to Punakha valley for a lunch. After lunch at Punakha, we’ll visit the Punakha Dzong (Fortress) and ride straight to Pobjikha via small Bajo town. Dinner and overnight stay at Phobjikha valley.
Day 05: Phobjikha – Bumthang Ride via Trongsa (2,600m, 188 Km / 5-6 Hours)
After breakfast, ride for Bumthang valley, crossing giant Trongsa Dzong view point. Before we ride to Bumthang valley, stop to visit the Gangtey Goenpa (monastery) Our ride going to be hill uphill until we reach to Pele La Pass and again the road will descend down for Chendebji stupa. We will stop for a hot lunch at Trongsa. After lunch, we ride further to Bumthang wich is about 2 hours ride crossing Yotongla Pass. After crossing Yotongla Pass, we descend down to Chumey valley and then to the hotel. Evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 06: Bumthang to Mongar Ride (1,600m, 192km, 6-7hrs) via Thrimshingla pass 3750m)
Today we will cross Thrimshingla Pass and national park of Bhutan. We descend down for Sengor and then to Mongar town. We will be crossing Namling waterfalls and small streams. Dinner and overnight stay at Mongar.
Day 07: Mongar to Trashigang (3,773m,91km,3-4hrs)
Our ride will go uphill until we reach Korila Pass. After crossing Korila Pass, we will cross through small town of Yadi. Once we cross Yadi town, we will be riding through snake road (zigzag) making our ride more interesting. Stop to visit Trashigang Dzong(fortress) Later check into the hotel. Evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at Trashigang.
Day 08: Trashigang – Samdrup Jongkhar (230m, 180 Km, 5-6 Hours)
Leave for Samdrup Jongkhar district which is situated in the southeastern corner of the country, sharing its southern and eastern borders with the Indian state of Assam and
Arunachal Pradesh respectively. This town falls within the subtropical climate zone and it serves as main gateways to eastern Bhutan. We will stop for a quick lunch at Wamrong town. After lunch descend down to Dewathang and then to Samdrup Jongkhar for an overnight stay. Dinner and overnight stay at Samdrup Jongkhar.
Day 09: Samdrup Jongkhar - Guwahati to Delhi ( 50m, 110 Km / 3 Hour) (Departure)
Our team will transfer you to the Guwahati airport for your onward flight to back home. So we suggest you to book your afternoon flight to Delhi or Kolkata. Guwahati is a sprawling city beside the Brahmaputra River in the northeast Indian state of Assam. Your beautiful Bhutan motorcycle adventure tour ends here. We wish you safe flight back home.
